This episode brought a hint of an upcoming plot surprise from one of the supporting characters, thought I don’t think it would be a drastic plot twist. Still this episode didn’t change my overall impression for the series.
Silver Link did a great job on the animations: those object textures and colorful highlights eye-candy. The highlights somehow reminds me of Makoto Shinkai’s Byousoku 5cm (yeah, unfortunately I’ve only watched few of his works). If only they polished the character and foreground animations more…
And there’s a hilariously funny moment, serves well as an icebreaker for the otherwise dull dialog.
Other than those points, I noticed that the villain’s voice actor’s expression is rather monotonous, constant all the time. Somehow, most of the scenes didn’t flow smoothly.
I wonder if this is an adaptation decay (as TV Tropes call it) or the original material is simply of mediocre quality.
